$14.99 Retail Price with 40% Wholesale Discount
= $8.99 Wholesale Price
– $4.81 Printing Costs
= $4.18 Net Sale/Profit
100% Author Royalty Percentage
= $4.18 Author Royalty Per Copy
And here’s a scenario for a 6×9″ 200-page HARDCOVER book, with color cover and black-and-white interior:
$24.99 Retail Price with 40% Wholesale Discount
= $14.99 Wholesale Price
– $9.83 Printing Costs
= $5.16 Net Sale/Profit
100% Author Royalty Percentage
= $5.16 Author Royalty Per Copy
We report sales to our authors quarterly and pay royalties by check. We pay 100% of the net sales/profits (after deducting the wholesale discount and printing costs).
